Implant Dentistry

One of the best ways to replace missing teeth are Dental Implants

Do you want a long term solution for a lifetime of smiles? Our team here at Vasundhara Dental Clinic provide dental implant treatment for patients with missing teeth or who want an alternative to dentures. Missing teeth can have a negative effect on our eating patterns, our self-image and lead to bone loss. The best long term solution for missing teeth is dental implant treatment.

There are many advantages to dental implants including:

Dental Implants Are Visually Appealing
Dental implants are the closest thing to natural teeth that modern dentistry can provide. The implants are inserted into your jawbone and fuse together in a process known as osseointegration. Since they integrate into your jawbone like natural teeth, they are the best way we can prevent bone loss and gum recession.

Dental Implants Save Your Natural Teeth
Dental implants don’t sacrifice the quality of your adjacent teeth like a bridge does because neighbouring teeth are not altered to support the implant. More of your own teeth are left untouched, a significant long-term benefit to your oral health!

Dental Implants Inspire A Confident Smile
Dental implants are the best alternative to dentures. With dental implants, you can finally say goodbye to messy denture pastes and glues. Since dental implants act and feel like natural teeth, you can once again speak and smile with confidence.

Dental Implant Treatment Is Reliable
Dental implant treatment is one of the most reliable modern restorative dentistry treatments and the successful is highly predictable.

A More Natural Approach….

And with dental implants you don't run the risk of inflicting projectile harm to others from sneeze-propelled dentures! (It truly does happen.)

Most importantly, with the long term success rates of dental implants being over 90%, they are a cost-effective and aesthetically elegant solution for those with missing teeth. Dr Vaibhav Joshi provides a simple definition of what an Implantologist is.

All-on-4 Immediate Function Dental Implants

The All-on-4 dental implant treatment has been developed to maximize the use of available bone on anterior jaw and to allow for Immediate Function™ by the uses tilting posterior implants.

The All-on-4 dental implant treatment is done in 1 phase:

1. Tooth extraction (if required)
2. Implant post placement
3. Make and Fit Prosthetics on implant

With the all-on-4 dental implant technique, teeth is extraction and the implant post placed during the same surgical visit. A fixed acrylic bridge is fabricated and functioning within 1 to 2 days after surgery. The timeline for all-on-4 dental implants is thus completed within one trip. Patients are able to opt to have the acrylic bridge converted into a porcelain bridge at a later stage.

Why All-on-4 Dental Implant Treatment
  • All-on-4 dental implant treatment enables short treatment time
  • Ease of transition in replacing poor prognosis to new function teeth
  • Immediate function
  • All-on-4 dental implant treatments is suited for all bone quantities except for very severe resorption cases
All on 6 procedure

It´s the same All on 4 treatment, but the fix denture is supported by 6 implants instead of 4

Unlike the All on 4 procedure, it´s necessary enough bone to place this number of implants.

Common Misconceptions

Age is frequently a factor that compels certain people and indeed professionals to avoid having dental implants placed. However, with the right expertise and technology and under carefully monitored conditions, people of all ages, young and old and every age in between can have single and multiple teeth replaced! Dental implants can be placed in teenagers who have had one of their new adult teeth knocked out due to some accidental injury. They can also be used to give people into their nineties a brand new set of beautiful and non-removable teeth with the ‘All-on-4/6’ dental implant technique!

Many patients avoid getting teeth replaced because they believe they are beyond the stage of oral redemption. Rampant tooth loss is a common symptom of advanced periodontal (gum) disease – an acute and chronic bacterial infection of the soft tissue surrounding the teeth – that has gone untreated. Unfortunately, many patients are led to believe that they are not candidates for dental implants owing to the lack of sufficient bone volume in the jaw to support these teeth replacement devices. However, we showed that through the careful placement and precise angulation of four /six dental implants in regions of the jaw that naturally contain a greater volume of atrophy-resistant bone tissue, even edentulous patients with advanced periodontal disease can receive oral rehabilitation and have non-removable teeth once again, and even better still… All in few sittings only!!
